Dont Starve - Drink Water
I am a muslim, in my childhood we were taught to drink a full glass of water before each meal is good for health. I never understood until today. I was planning to drink maximum water I easily can on july 4th becoz it was my day off and I could take as many rest room trips as I want. so here I was. drank water whole day and didnt eat anything except for 4 slices of bread with egg as breakfast. rest of the day I kept drinking water. result? I didnt feel like eating the whole day & night. I felt full. & yes a few trips of toilet. at night I took a banana and still plan to drink galss of milk before I got to bed.
so water is not only good for body but also for loosing weight.

My Weight Loss Journey
if you have seen enough commercials of weight loss products you would know they show before and after photos. what about whats in between? honestly I dont believe any weight loss product works and if any does what about its side effects? I am old fashioned and going to loose weight the old fashioned way. by exercising more and eating less. I am already 2 weeks onto it and was thinking to keep record of my achievements to keep me motivated & thought why not post onto a blog to motivate others as well.
my job requires a lot of sitting so I have a lot of extra fat around my belly, infact I am suppose to weigh ideally at 151 lbs but you can stretch it to 164lbs and since I am at 215lbs I am almost 65lbs over weight and can be classified obese. I want to atleast drop 30 pounds so the quest is to loose all that fat around belly that involves treadmill and cycling. on the other hands one trick to look slimmer is that you loose fat around your belly and gain muscles around chest. so if you lose one inch around belly and gain one inch around chest you would look a lot slimmer and in shape than to just losing one inch around waist. that involves a lot of types of exercises we are doing crunches specially for abs and some other weight lifting.
so far I have been doing gym 5 days a week. treadmill for 40 mins or 250+ calories burn, (just walking at 2.9mph and 2.0 incline) cycling for 1.5 miles or 100+ calories burn. then 30 sit-ups crunches, 30 abdominal stretch crunches & 30 one more type of crunches I dont remember name. will update tomorrow.
afterwards its a set of exercise for each group of muscels like one day for shoulder the other for chest one for biceps and the other for triceps and one for legs, hip, lower body.
I do start my day with a little home exercise though. I do jumping for about a minute, a little walking worth 50+ calories burn. 10 to 20 standups. and another one for which I touch my toes and come stand straight back. for home workout you can try a great trainer named scooby. he motivated me a lot and I did followed his home workout plan for intermediate but again my job was in my way of being healthy and smart so joined gym with a couple for friends. my diet is even simpler and YOU will love it. for Breakfast/Lunch aka Brucnh (yes jsut one meal) eat what ever you like, I take pizza, mcdonalds, gyros. rice+meat in a nut shell what ever I feel like. but for evening its any fruite. banana most probably. night time I hit the gym. come home for dinner I have a few carrots. a full glas of milk a bucnh of grapes and an orange. & not to forget water. drink as much as you like or can.
result? I lost 5 pounds in just 2 weeks. I didnt go to gym for 3 days and didnt do home exercise for like may be 7 days. had I had been more punctual I would have lost so much more than this. so yes do not buy any product promising weight loss. just do the exercise and eat less. today I read an article on average american ate 2300+ calories a full 300+ calories more than they needed. I know I am cutting back, are you?
